The Dark Knight Is Certainly Rising Thanks To Catwoman

For all the fan boys out there, this morning marked a moment in their lives when their version of internet porn went off the scale, and to think, there wasn’t even a nipple in sight. No, this was something so great that not even excessive nudity could overcome its sheer awesomeness. This was a new promotional shot featuring Catwoman herself from The Dark Knight Rises. The final piece in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy and, Marvel’s Avengers Assemble and Ridley Scott’s Prometheus aside, the biggest film of the summer.
Here we are, met with a vision in skin tight leather, patent gloves and thigh high boots, ladies & gents behold the new promotional shot of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. Now this might not be the most amazing shot, after all, by the looks of things she has been poorly cut out and plastered on a white background. But either way you can understand the cries of joy, excitement and borderline orgasms exponentially coursing across the world.
There is no doubt that she is tight, something which Hathaway is not shy from coming forward about. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly she spoke about her role as Catwoman,
“I had to physically transform,” says Hathaway. “Chris sat me down at the beginning and said; ‘Joseph Gordon-Levitt did all of his own fighting in Inception. That one zero-gravity fight? He trained for two months.’ I basically left his office and went to the gym and just came out about five minutes ago.”
It certainly does show, granted the actress has never been shy in the past, her roles in Havoc and particularly Love and Other Drugs have seen Hathaway in a more natural light sans clothing. But her experience on The Dark Knight Rises has clearly been the actresses most physical to date and it was this physicality something that director Nolan wanted to capture in Catwoman on the screen.
Nolan envisages her as a “shifty cipher, calloused survivor, and world-class criminal… She has a very strong way of protecting herself and those she cares about which implies an underlying darkness.”
Hathaway certainly looks amazing in this shot, and those hours at the gym truly paid off. Now we might not be able to recreate the look exactly, I’m afraid Honour doesn’t stock utility belts, but we do have Catsuits, and we do have thigh high boots with a metal heel, all you need now is your Dark Knight.
The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard and Morgan Freeman; it will be released on July 20th.
